Family Private Classes

Description

Regarding a Survival/Self-Reliance class at your farm…. a class number between 12 and 15 would be the maximum number for a class like this.  The agenda I typically follow is to cover all of the basics such as making Fire without matches, how to get water where there is none and how to purify it, Shelter, weather prediction using natural methods, knife sharpening, survival knots, survival kits, traps and food procurement, camouflage and stealth movement in the woods are a few of the topics.  I’d like to see what the groups interests and expectations are before the class so we can modify and enhance the topics to meet your group’s needs.
The amount of time we spend together as well as the skill of the participants is a driving factor determining how much we can cover.  I like to have all of my classes “hands-on”.  People seem to learn better and retain the information better that way.
Most of the family groups I’ve done in the past schedule a 2-day class with either overnight camping or for those living close can go home and sleep in their beds.  A 1-day class is also possible but that would limit what we can cover in a 9 AM – 6 PM timeframe.
The cost per day (no food included) would be $300 for the 1st person and $150 for all others after that. Children under 12 would be $75 per day.  I can supply the food if you wish for $25 more ($325 for the 1st person and $175 for all others after that. Children under 12 would be $90 per day)
Where is your farm at?  If its farther than 30 miles from me here in Seven Hills the only other additional cost would be for my drivetime @ $15 per hour and my actual fuel cost of my truck pulling my 18 ft trailer (11 mpg at current gas prices).
