Ingredients
- 1/4 C dried Calendula flowers
- 1/4 C dried Dandelion leaves and/or flower tops
- 4 T dried Comfrey leaves
- 1 C Sweet Almond Oil
- 2 t Tamanu oil (optional)
- 1 C Filtered water
- 4 T. Mango butter (optional)
- 1 t Vitamin E Oil
- 1/2 oz. (14 grams) Beeswax
- 30 drops Fragrance Oil (optional)
- Small pot
Directions
- Combine the sweet almond oil and herbs together in small pot.
- Place over low heat and heat oil to 120 F insuring the temperature remains as close to 120 as possible.
- Slow stir constantly.
- After at least 30 minutes but no longer than 90 minutes turn the heat off and strain the herbs out with a cheesecloth. Additionally you can run it through a coffee filter to make sure all of the small herb bits are out.
- Clean the small pot, then put the clean infused oil back in into the pot and return to low heat.
- Add the Beeswax, Mango butter, Tamanu oil and Vitamin E oil to the pot and stirring occasionally until melted.
- Remove from the heat and begin to mix with blender on medium high while SLOWLY adding the water to the oil in a SMALL stream.
- In about 3 minutes the oil should become creamy.
- Add Fragrance Oil (if being used) and continue to blend for 30 more seconds.
- Scoop the cream into jars. and label with name and date.
- Apply sparingly onto skin damaged skin twic a day (also works well for cracked feet). It will take the cream about 3 minutes to be absorbed into your skin and 3 days for you to notice significant improvement in your chapped skin.
