Cattail “Pulled Pork”


  • 2 Cups brown Cattail fluff (approx. 2 brown fuzzy heads)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup melted butter
  • 1/8 Cup milk
  • 2 Tablespoons of real Maple Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon of Black Pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Remove cattail fluff from the heads by twisting
  3. Stir in eggs, butter, milk, maple syrup, ntneg and pepper
  4. Blens all together in a food processor
  5. Pour evenly into a greased casserole dish
  6. Bake 20 minutes or until bubbles occur
  7. Remove from oven and then remove contents from casserole dish.
  8. “Tear” apart with a fork so i “looks like” pulled pork.
  9. Place a sliced onion in skillet over a medium heat and sprinkle with black pepper. and cook until onion is carmelized
  10. Add in the “Cattail Pulled Pork” and cook until hot
  11. Pour on barbecue sauce
